About Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration connector

This is a proprietary connection for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to make it easier to create business workflow automations. It was created especially to be used in the integration flows of the elastic.io platform and is included by default.

Triggers and actions are both supported by the Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration connection. This indicates that you can use it to either start an event or react to one already in progress. By utilizing it as a trigger, you may, for instance, obtain each item that was added or changed over a particular period of time.

You can use it either to execute or to act upon a certain event. For example, you can get and create contacts, sync accounts or sync invoices. By clicking the above link, you can access the connector’s documentation page where you can learn more about the possible triggers and actions.

You cannot alter or expand the Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration connection on your own because it is covered by a proprietary license. Please get in touch with our pre-sales team at [email protected] if you require any additional triggers and/or actions for your integrations in order to talk more about the specifics.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to utilize the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connection connector in your project, you must have a user account on the elastic.io integration platform. Here you may sign up for a free 14-day trial if you’re new to elastic.io.

How to add Microsoft Dynamics CRM integrations on elastic.io

As a trigger

Step 1 After creating of your account on the elastic.io platform, go to the Dashboard or Flows sections, select the “Add new Flow” option, then you can either scroll to the bottom or use the search bar to locate the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector.

Step 2

While still under development, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector triggers presently offer the feature “Get New and Updated Objects,” which polls for updated data objects like products within a specified period of time.

Step 3

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector can then be further configured as a trigger by choosing which data items you wish to poll (such as accounts).

Step 4

As an action

Once the trigger configuration is complete, you can request a sample of the records to confirm that Microsoft Dynamics CRM is configured correctly. If you wish to sync with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and provide a best-in-class product experience, like BigCommerce or Magento 2, you must provide an action as your next step. You can then assess how it functions in a real business process automation cycle.

In Microsoft Dynamics CRM, an action works with changes made in another application in your workflow. The setup instructions are essentially the same: select Microsoft Dynamics CRM from the list of connectors, pick a function, and validate your connector’s account on the elastic.io platform using your existing or new login information.

By using the “Make Raw Request” function after the object creation, you can send one-of-a-kind queries to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM API endpoints using any of the GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, or DELETE procedures. Currently, additional action methods referred to as “Lookup Object” are available and may be used to look up certain fields using specific criteria and object types (e.g. users).

OUR TIP: Start your test flow with our Simple Trigger connector to rapidly assess the settings for Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s action connector. Just bear in mind that Simple Trigger does not have any contact information-related data items to sync, thus it is unable to test how well the Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector receives datasets from other systems. You must connect this connector to other suitable elastic.io platform apps in order to fully explore it.
