CSV stands for “comma-separated values”, since its data fields are separated by a comma. It is a very simple file format used to store tabular data, for example from a spreadsheet or a database.
A vast amount of applications enable data export and import with the CSV format, the most classic example would be feeding data from Google spreadsheet into a MailChimp mailing list.
About CSV integration connector
This is an open source connector to work with CSV files in your integration flow and is developed specifically to run on elastic.io platform. As its functionality suggests, it supports both triggers and actions, which means you can use it either to execute (read data) or to act upon (write data) a certain event. Follow the Documentation link above to find what you need to do to set it up.
Like with all other elastic.io connectors that are under the Apache license, you can clone it and enhance it yourself to include more functionalities out of the box. Alternatively, you can contact our pre-sales team at ps[at]elastic.io if you prefer our developers to extend this connector for you.
PLEASE NOTE: You need to be registered on the elastic.io integration platform in order to use the CSV integration connector. You can sign up for a free 14-day trial here.
