LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It is an open, vendor-neutral and industry-standard application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol (IP) network.
Directory services play an important role in developing intranet and Internet applications by allowing the sharing of information about users, systems, networks, services, and applications throughout the network.
About LDAP integration connector
This is an open source connector to work with the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol in your integration flows and it was developed specifically to run on elastic.io platform
This is the first release of the connector and it is still under development. Therefore, it currently supports only the action functionality, which means that you can use it to execute a certain event. In the case of this particular connector, it performs an LDAP search operation on the instance.
Follow the Documentation link above to find what you need to do to set it up.
Like with all other elastic.io connectors that are under the Apache license, you can clone it and enhance it yourself to include more functionalities out of the box. Alternatively, you can contact our pre-sales team at ps[at]elastic.io if you prefer our developers to extend the LDAP integration connector for you.
PLEASE NOTE: You need to be registered on the elastic.io integration platform in order to use the LDAP integration connector. You can sign up for a free 14-day trial here.
