Bonn, 20 October 2015 – elastic.io, a German integration platform provider, is introducing the second version of its platform standardizing the integration of various IT applications. It opens for cloud solution providers and especially system integrators the way to expand into new markets. Now they can integrate their self-developed connectors into a superordinate platform and thus, connect any number of IT applications in a standardized environment and easily monitor all processes.
The number of cloud applications used in a company has nothing to do with the size of this company. Big or small, it would be using 11-16 various applications on average according to Okta’s Business Work Report. This means that not only enterprise companies but also SMBs face considerable integration efforts if they want their applications to mutually exchange data.Until now many SMBs had to tackle this problem on their own and invest their valuable time and efforts at the expense of their core business – integration solutions offered by system integrators were simply out of their financial range. The new version „2.0“ of the integration platform by elastic.io, a young tech company based in Bonn, is designed to enable system integrators to put together an attractive offer for small and medium businesses by using the standardization approach. Thus, system integrators can get access to a new market that has been left unexplored by them for far too long.
Ideal solution for diverse IT landscapes
elastic.io belongs to the generation of the so called “cloud-born” companies and has already established itself on the German market as an expert for integration solutions, due in part to strong partnerships with T-Systems, one of the largest German system integrators, and Shopware, the leading manufacturer of online shop systems in Europe. elastic.io has noticed that the growing number of available IT business applications and their ever increasing accessibility actually lead to a highly diffused demand. About 90% of all connector requestors received by elastic.io came for absolutely different connectors and only 10% were so called repeated requests.
The new version of the elastic.io integration platform is a timely response to this diversity across the current IT landscape. Its standardized development and integration tools allow developers to build their own connectors faster and more cost-effective, connecting various applications and systems – also Mobile, Big Data and IoT – with each other. The new platform by elastic.io is available as a white-label platform as well: System integrators and ISVs can host it in their own environment and build their own IT infrastructure on top of it.
Centralised monitoring across all integrations and out-of-the-box connectivity help system integrators reduce their integration efforts cost-wise as well as time-wise by up to 85% (case studies can be provided on demand).
System integrators “just” need to use their opportunities
The biggest challenge that system integrators face when moving to the cloud is how to ensure flexibility, scalability and availability – often due to the lack of required knowledge or technology.
In order to stay competitive, system integrators have to not only pursue new revenue models and revenue streams, but also quickly adopt new technology to overcome increasing technological complexity and diversity. elastic.io has recognized this dilemma early enough and developed a new version of its integration platform which is by nature highly scalable, flexible and delivers secure, technologically advanced development and integration tools for the cloud.
The platform makes it easier than before to develop, govern, scale and monitor integrations, and delivers real added value to system integrators who want to seriously tackle such IT areas as Big Data and Mobile. This lies in the standardization of data integration, data administration and data visualization as well as in providing a quick and secure access to data from backend systems, existing databases and mobile applications.
System integrators can now develop and deploy standard solutions for particular use cases and thus gain a sustainable advantage over their competitors.
Standardization is the way to a new business model
The new integration platform by elastic.io enables system integrators to standardize integration tools and integration processes, achieving higher efficiency and reducing internal risks. Furthermore, centralization approach helps maintain different systems regardless of how many integrations need to be monitored and managed. System integrators can, therefore, considerably expand their offerings horizontally, targeting not only enterprise companies but small and mid-size businesses as well, and vertically, offering more advanced and complex integrations. The elastic.io’s self-service development approach allows them to build scalable, reusable and flexible integration solutions and deploy them faster, thus reducing own developmental costs.
As part of its partner programme, elastic.io offers system integrators an extensive support package that includes technical workshops, training and ongoing technical support backed up by solid experience and high technical know-how.
The platform is built based on open-source technology like Apache Mesos and Docker, which ensures not only complete isolation of resources but also an efficient implementation of microservices architecture. This makes it currently the only microservices-based, multi-tenant iPaaS on the market that can be deployed not only in the cloud, but also on-premise.
“The cloud era makes up its own rules and is unstoppable, there is no doubt in that now. We see the new version of our integration platform as a key for system integrators and ISVs to adapt to the changes of current business and revenue models quickly.”
